Building on the success of the Grandland, the Corsa HYBRID is the second model in the Vauxhall range to embrace 48-volt hybrid technology. This advanced hybrid powertrain boasts a 48V lithium-ion battery, automatically recharged under specific driving conditions. Complementing this is a specially developed 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, available with 100Ps and 136PS options, delivering a perfect synergy between power and efficiency.

The heart of the Corsa HYBRID lies in its new electrified six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, coupled with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor integrated into the gearbox. With a peak power of 21kW (28hp) and maximum torque of 55Nm, this electric motor not only facilitates short-distance electric driving but also provides crucial support to the petrol engine during acceleration. Experience the convenience of electric-only mode during low-torque scenarios, such as manoeuvering or city traffic under 18mph. Additionally, during deceleration from higher speeds, the petrol engine takes a rest, and the electric motor acts as a generator, replenishing the 48V battery. This innovative system also captures energy through regenerative braking, ensuring sustainable energy usage.
